Chuck Geveden

Chuck Geveden, Chief Administrative Officer.Chuck Geveden serves as Chief Administrative Officer and oversees the daily operations of the Governor's Office of Homeland Security. With 10 years of law enforcement experience and training, as well as having served in the emergency medical services field, Geveden knows the issues our officers and first responders face on a daily basis. In addition to his law enforcement background, Geveden has traveled across the United States, as well as numerous foreign countries, providing and arranging executive security for high profile individuals. Geveden has previous state government experience having worked in the Transportation Cabinet and as a Division Director in the Finance and Administration Cabinet. In his spare time, Chuck enjoys the outdoors and serves on committees such as Ducks Unlimited and the National Wild Turkey Federation. He is also a member of the Big Brothers Big Sisters Advisory Council and spends time with his little brother through the program.

Mary Pedersen

Mary Pedersen is the Chief Information Officer of the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security.  In this capacity, she is responsible for all information technology initiatives within the office and provides programmatic leadership over the Unified Criminal Justice Information System, a multi-million dollar portfolio of justice information sharing projects that includes the statewide E-Warrants project.  Mrs. Pedersen also manages the Preventive Radiological and Nuclear Detection Technology Program that includes the South East Regional Reach-back Initiative (SERRI) with Oak Ridge National Lab and UT-Battelle and the South East Transportation Corridor Pilot Program (SETCP) in partnership with the US Department of Homeland Security, Domestic Nuclear Detection Office. 
Prior to joining state government in 2002, Mrs. Pedersen was a Vice President for the Technology and Operations Division of Bank of America based in Charlotte, NC.  During her tenure with Bank of America, Mrs. Pedersen managed multiple large-scale Commercial and Small Banking Projects and was a member of two merger teams.  Upon her return to Kentucky, Ms. Pedersen was a project manager in the Commonwealth Office of Technology and also served as the Chief Information Officer for the Justice and Public Safety Cabinet. 
Mrs. Pedersen holds a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Kentucky State University and a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati.  She currently serves on the Kentucky Board of Licensure for Private Investigators and is a member of the National Justice Information Sharing Professionals Board.  She resides in Frankfort, Kentucky with her family.

Herb Hendrickson Jr.

Mr. Hendrickson serves as Information Technology Specialist under the Chief Information Officer. With 19 years of law enforcement experience and training along with 14 years in the emergency management field, Mr. Hendrickson understands what Kentuckians face on a daily basis when it comes to protecting our families.
In addition to his law enforcement background, Mr. Hendrickson has extensive training in communications, computer skills, and disaster management. He is a former Chief of Police from Western Kentucky, and was highly involved with local emergency organizations and Community Emergency Response Teams in Train-The-Trainer in multi-jurisdiction settings. In his spare time, Herb enjoys the outdoors, conservation, farming, and working with National Weather Services – Spotter Program.

Junnadel Bowling

Junnadel Bowling is an administrative assistant for The Kentucky Office of Homeland Security. She brings with her 5 years of managerial experience in the private sector. She is currently pursuing her degree in Business Management at Kentucky State University. Junnadel currently resides in Frankfort.
