Public Safety WMD/Response – Sampling Techniques and Guidelines (PER-222)
This course discusses the availability of training in the proper techniques and guidelines for the collection of forensically valid samples of hazardous materials within a bio or WMD incident. The three-day course provides detailed technical information and includes hands-on practice of actions required of emergency responders in bio/WMD incidents. A major component of the course includes practical exercises allowing participants to collect forensically valid samples. All registrants should be able to provide verification of current hazmat technician-level certification, medical clearance for Level C personal protective equipment and demonstrate a “need-to-know” job function required to support, supervise and/or coordinate with individuals tasked with working in contaminated environments. A small number of seats are available to secondary participants who are not HazMat certified. Space is limited to 30 participants. Restrictions apply, so please carefully review the prerequisites noted in the attached marketing flyer.
