Pat Gill, Chief Administrative Officer
Pat Gill joined the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security in July 2008, serving as the agency’s chief administrative officer. Also, Ms. Gill serves as executive assistant to the executive director. She is deeply involved with long-range planning, budget development, problem solving and overseeing of KOHS projects.
Before coming to KOHS she was the executive assistant to the Governor’s Senior Adviser. Ms. Gill has more than thirty-five years in the private-business sector. She was senior vice president for the public relations firm, The Preston Group, and then became senior consultant for Preston Global, a crisis-management firm located in Lexington. Ms. Gill has extensive experience in counter –terrorism/workplace violence prevention and response, strategic research, crisis planning, prevention and response, issue management, conflict resolution and methods of diffusing hostile situations, terrorism database management, security vulnerability assessments & report development and organizational office/staff management.
In addition Ms. Gill acts as liaison with Military Affairs, the Kentucky National Guard, the Commission on Military Affairs, the Governor’s Working Task Force for Base Realignment and Continuation, and the Kentucky Governor's Prison Reentry Task Force. She resides in Lexington.
